About Robin Chotzinoff

For the past two years, I have lived, written and gardened in Austin, Texas, after 26 years in and around Denver, Colorado. So I now have PLUSSES–two tomato-growing seasons, ten-foot-tall rose bushes, compost that rots while my back is turned, and MINUSSES–bugs, blights and humidity. I grow 400 square feet of vegetables year-round, and many unreliably maintained ornamental plots. A long time ago, I became a certified Master Composter and still have the badge to prove it. My favorite tomato is Brandy Boy. My favorite rose is LaMarque. I write a monthly garden column for the Austin American Statesman, occasional features for Bicycling magazine, and have three books, on widely divergent subjects, in print. (More on my non-garden writing at www.robinchotzinoff.com.) My other blog, the one that’s about everything but gardening, lives at letterstomyagent.com.
